The GE Signa HDx 1.5T MRI is a whole-body, high resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio scanner with short scan times. The Signa HDx 1.5T MRI is an upgraded modification of the earlier 1.5 Tesla GE systems. The main difference between the HDx 1.5T and the earlier systems is the change to the receive chain architecture that includes 32 independent receive channels and room for 16 additional channel increments. The system features a simplified user interface including a 23-inch LCD display, upgraded image reconstruction architecture called Volume Recon Engine (VRE), and upgraded multi-channel surface coil connectivity.
